checkpoint: matrix-agent-validated (2026-04-25)

Architectural snapshot of the lakehouse codebase at the point where the
full matrix-driven agent loop with Mem0 versioning + deletion was
validated end-to-end.

WHAT THIS REPO IS
A clean single-commit snapshot of the lakehouse code. Heavy test data
(.parquet datasets, vector indexes) excluded — see REPLICATION.md for
regen path. Full lakehouse history at git.agentview.dev/profit/lakehouse.

WHAT WAS PROVEN
- Vector retrieval across multi-corpora matrix (chicago_permits + entity
  briefs + sec_tickers + distilled procedural + llm_team runs)
- Observer hand-review (cloud + heuristic fallback) gating each candidate
- Local-model agent loop (qwen3.5:latest) with tool use + scratchpad
- Playbook seal on success → next-iter retrieval surfaces it as preamble
- Mem0 versioning + deletion in pathway_memory:
    * UPSERT: ADD on new workflow, UPDATE bumps replay_count on identical
    * REVISE: chains versions, parent.superseded_at + superseded_by stamped
    * RETIRE: marks specific trace retired with reason, excluded from retrieval
    * HISTORY: walks chain root→tip, cycle-safe

KEY DIRECTORIES
- crates/vectord/src/pathway_memory.rs — Mem0 ops live here
- crates/vectord/src/playbook_memory.rs — original Mem0 reference
- tests/agent_test/ — local-model agent harness + PRD + session archives
- scripts/dump_raw_corpus.sh — MinIO bucket dump (raw test corpus)
- scripts/vectorize_raw_corpus.ts — corpus → vector indexes
- scripts/analyze_chicago_contracts.ts — real inference pipeline
- scripts/seal_agent_playbook.ts — Mem0 upsert from agent traces

Replication: see REPLICATION.md for Debian 13 clean install + cloud-only
adaptation (no local Ollama).

/// Streaming MySQL ingest.
///
/// Mirrors `pg_stream` for MySQL sources. Same OFFSET-paginated strategy,
/// same Parquet-streaming shape. Uses `mysql_async` (pure-rust) so we
/// don't need a C client library at build time.
///
/// Type mapping follows ADR-010 (default to string on ambiguity):
/// - Booleans (TINYINT(1)) and integer types map to Arrow Int32/Int64
/// - Floating point and decimals → Float64
/// - Everything else (text, varchar, json, date, timestamp) → Utf8
///
/// What's deliberately not supported (yet):
/// - TLS connections — `minimal` feature is plain TCP only. Upgrade
/// when a tenant actually needs it.
/// - Keyset pagination — OFFSET scans are O(N²) at multi-million-row
/// scale; same caveat as `pg_stream`.
/// - BINARY/BLOB columns — currently rendered as base64 or empty string
/// via Display-fallback.

/// Streaming PostgreSQL ingest.
///
/// The original `db_ingest::import_postgres_table` loads every row into
/// memory before emitting Parquet — fine for small tables, blows up on
/// 1M+ rows. This module paginates via `ORDER BY <pk> LIMIT N OFFSET M`
/// and streams batches into an `ArrowWriter`, closing once exhausted.
///
/// Pagination is OFFSET-based (not keyset) — simpler, works on any table
/// without needing to know the PK type. OFFSET N scans N rows per fetch,
/// which becomes quadratic for very large tables. Upgrade to keyset when
/// a user actually ingests something that hurts.

//! Scheduled ingest — the production-substrate piece that turns the
//! lakehouse from "manual API toolkit" into a system that runs itself.
//!
//! A `ScheduleDef` declares "what to ingest" + "when to fire." A
//! background `Scheduler` task wakes periodically, asks each enabled
//! schedule whether it's due, and runs the matching ingest path. Outcomes
//! land back on the schedule so operators can see what happened without
//! `journalctl` archaeology.
//!
//! Storage shape: one JSON file per schedule at
//! `primary://_schedules/{id}.json`. Serializable via serde, rebuilt on
//! startup. Same write-once shape as the rest of the catalog — no DB.
//!
//! Concurrency model: single-flight per schedule_id. The scheduler holds
//! a `HashSet<String>` of currently-running ids; a tick that finds a
//! schedule already in flight skips it (no queueing — a slow ingest
//! shouldn't pile up runs). Different schedules run concurrently.
//!
//! What's deliberately not in scope here:
//! - Sub-minute cron precision. 5-field Unix cron is supported; seconds
//! are pinned to 0. Intervals cover sub-minute cases; cron is
//! easy to bolt on later.
//! - Backoff / retry policies. A failed run records the failure and
//! schedules `next_run_at` as if it succeeded — no exponential backoff.
//! - Distributed coordination. Single-machine scheduler; no leader
//! election. If you run two gateway instances they'll both fire.

// 1. SINCE LAST COMPLETION (current default below):
// next = completed_at + interval
// Easy to reason about. A long-running ingest delays the next fire
// by however long it took. Drift is bounded — the schedule never
// "falls behind" trying to catch up.
//
// 2. ANCHORED INTERVAL:
// next = previous_target + interval, regardless of when run finished
// Keeps wall-clock alignment ("every 30min on the :00 and :30").
// Risk: if ingest takes longer than the interval, the next run is
// "due immediately" and you can fire back-to-back forever.
//
// 3. ANCHORED + SKIP:
// Anchored, but skip a tick if the previous one is still running.
// Best of both, slightly more code.
//
// 4. CRON:
// Parse the expression, find the next match after `now`. Most
